As a whole it contains a nice balance of comedy, drama, and well handle love romance story. The musical numbers never takes away any momentum the plot has even during it most serious moments. The film contains a good amount of musical numbers which serve it purpose of moving the plot while also adding a much added sense of drama to a scene. Most of all the plot is inspirational as it plot has characters as to overcome overwhelming odds to save their province. The film length work towards it advantage making the journey are the more powerful when we see our heroes in their darkest of time as well as their triumphant moments. For starter the film introduces it setup excellent and slowly introduces our main character building both development and engaging the audiences with these characters. On paper the plot could have easily failed, but in execution it works better than you might expect. Once Upon A Time In India is about the people of a small village in Victorian India stake their future on a game of cricket against their ruthless British rulers. Those audiences would have also miss one of the best musical and the best Cricket movie ever made. If someone were to tell you to watch a movie that required you to read subtitles for over three hours and was building up to a Cricket game as the big finale most audiences would pass on such a film.
